The ICS Community

ICS has an enrollment of over 1200 students, representing 30 different countries. ICS offers four-year-old kindergarten through grade twelve. Enrollment includes approximately 490 Elementary students, 300 Middle school students, and over 400 High school students.

ICS offers an educational experience unlike any other. We are a close-knit community where your child gains a sense of belonging. Hours after the school day ends, our students are often still on campus in clubs, athletic practices, enrichment activities, or just spending time with friends. Students love the comfortable and caring environment that they experience at ICS. ICS invites parent involvement through its parent-teacher organization (PTO) and various educational workshops.
Our name, International Community School fits well with our core values.

ICS is a Great Value

It will be difficult to find a better value for your money. Even though ICS students matriculate into top-tier universities, we are able to keep our tuition at a reasonable amount. As a nonprofit organization, your tuition directly benefits your child and their education. ICS has state-of-the-art facilities: an athletic complex, computer labs, media centers, and modern science labs. We provide the best possible education for your children while keeping your out-of-pocket costs as low as possible. We offer a vast array of affordable enrichment activities. Athletically, our students consistently compete at the highest level.

Academics

ICS's academic program is college preparatory in nature and eICS's academic program is college preparatory in nature and emphasizes both community service and AP class enrollment. We presently require 40 hours of personal community service (PCS) as well as additional hours in our Serving and Learning Together (SALT) trips each year. In addition, we offer 24 AP courses and continue to add to our offerings. Class rank for each student is based on a grade point average that is weighted and cumulative for grades 9-12. The average includes all courses taken at ICS but does not include transfer grades from other schools.

The ICS Faculty

ICS teachers are passionate about educating your child. They go above and beyond their daily teaching responsibilities, intentionally investing time to build meaningful relationships with students and mentor them throughout their journey. ICS attracts high-quality teachers who care about students and the mission of our school.

The high school faculty of ICS is comprised of a high school principal, a secondary assistant principal, three high school counselors, two media specialists, 42 faculty members, and 30 support staff. The majority of our teachers and staff are recruited directly from the United States and Canada. Our staff is well qualified and trained to prepare students for success both in and out of the classroom.

Senior Capstone Service Project

In order to graduate from ICS, every ICS student must complete a Senior Capstone Service Project (CSP). This requires that all students research a real-life problem, gain hands-on knowledge of the issue by spending time in service towards helping with developing solutions, and write a reflective paper describing their experience. They then must present their findings and final product to a panel of educators and NGO leaders at the Senior Capstone Service Project Fair in the 2nd semester of their senior year.
